Recently, Víctor A. Francis and Abi J. Vázquez were recognized as “Talento Senior” and awarded a three-year grant by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN), which confirms that DIVERSA has great professionals.

Helping researchers move back from overseas since 2018

The Xunta de Galicia is a public organism that, among other objectives, attempts to promote scientific research and development in Galicia.

Under this premise, they designed the “Talento Senior” program to attract Spanish researchers who are currently abroad to return and help them give their best at developing R&D&i projects.

It is not the first time that the Xunta de Galicia has offered this grant. In 2018, 62 talented scientists joined different companies and research centers, with an investment of 4.5 M €.

This year, 8 contracts have been made by companies and 5 by technology and research centers. The researchers, with more than 10 years of experience, resided in countries belonging to the European Union, but also in the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
