DIVERSA Innovatia 8.3 First Prize marks a major milestone for our team. We are proud to have received First Prize in the Knowledge-Based Business Project category, recognising our work to turn scientific research into real-world solutions.

At DIVERSA, we are proud to share that we have received the First Prize in the Knowledge-Based Business Project category at Innovatia 8.3, an initiative promoted by the Spanish Women’s Institute and the University of Santiago de Compostela.

The award was received by our Co-founder and CEO/CSO, María de la Fuente, during the event held at the Paraninfo of the University of Santiago de Compostela — a particularly meaningful setting because of its strong connection to knowledge, research and technology transfer.

For us, this recognition represents much more than an award. It highlights a way of understanding innovation: turning high-level scientific knowledge into solutions that can reach further, create value and address real needs.

At DIVERSA, we develop advanced formulation and delivery technologies based on lipid systems. Our work helps protect and enhance the performance of promising molecules and ingredients, enabling them to become more stable, effective and applicable products across health, biotechnology, cosmetics, nutrition and functional food.

This prize also recognises the work of a multidisciplinary, predominantly female team that brings together science, operations, business, management and industrialisation to support projects from early validation through to development, scale-up and market application.

Innovatia 8.3 also represents a community that champions something we strongly believe in: women should not only participate in science and technology, but also lead projects, make decisions and build ambitious companies with real impact.
